The Hub will close at 3pm today.

Term 1 Travel Forms

If you have travel expenses to claim for this term, you will need to bring your completed green form into the Hub, along with all your travel receipts. There is a tray in front of Yvette's desk to put all your paperwork in - please use one of the clear plastic wallets supplied.

Is a book you need not on the shelves?

The ebrary JISC FE Collection has a wide selection of e-Books you can use online, including:

We have a supply of basic stationery items for you to buy in the Hub.

• Erasers
• Sharpeners

• Glue sticks
• A4 folders
• Rulers

Several people have asked for memory sticks and earphones and they will be available to buy soon.

Lunchtime in the Hub

We have quiet games for you to play in the Hub at lunchtime - cards, Connect 4 and draughts. There is also a selection of novels which you can borrow.  Let me know of any good books you've read recently so we can share your recommendations with other students.

UCAS deadline 15th January 2017

The deadline for completing your UCAS application is the 15th January 2017.
If you need someone to proof read your personal statement, I am in the Hub from 10am to 3pm, Monday to Thursday.

We are OPEN for business!

This week Yvette and Lou moved into the new Hub at Flackwell Heath.
It has been great to see so many students coming to use the Hub and we would like to see more of you!
We will be running competitions over the next few weeks to entice you over.
Our first competition is 'Where's Ryland?' - more details in the Hub. The prize for finding him will be small and underwhelming.
There is also a short quiz, as well as some quiet games for you to play during your lunch time,(cards, dominoes etc.).
Once again, if you have any suggestions for us pop in and have a chat.

Shiny new Hub opening soon!

The Hub at the Flackwell Heath campus of Amersham and Wycombe College is in the process of being refurbished and will be opening before Christmas.
The Hub will be the base for Student Services staff, Yvette and Louise. You will be able to:

•  collect your lunchcards
•  have a chat if you're worried about anything
•  use the computers and resources for quiet study
•  get help with your job, apprenticeship or UCAS applications. 

In the meantime if you have any (serious) suggestions of what you would like to see on this blog, please post your ideas below.
